In Q3 of 2025, the installation volume of lithium iron phosphate batteries increased by 50.4% year-on-year, which is attributed to three key supports. Technologically, leading enterprises have enhanced the compaction density of cathode materials and optimized safety technologies, enabling them to be compatible with 800V ultra-fast charging models and enter the high-end market, with a market share of over 45% in the B-class vehicle market. On the demand side, the "power + energy storage" dual-wheel drive has been in effect, with the penetration rate of new energy vehicles approaching 50% and over 65% of models equipped with this battery. In global energy storage projects, its share reached 91%. In terms of cost and supply chain, the unit cost is more than 20% lower than that of ternary batteries, and the domestic control of phosphorus and iron resources is in place. Coupled with a year-on-year increase of 217% in overseas exports, the high growth momentum of lithium iron phosphate batteries is expected to continue in the short term, providing continuous support for energy transformation.
