The core highlight of this regulation is "one code for one battery." Through this coding method, full lifecycle management-from the production end to the recycling end of the battery-can be achieved. Information from the production stage, status during use, and handling during the recycling phase can all be accurately tracked via the code.
This rule is of significant importance, providing a crucial reference for product traceability and industry supervision. Enterprises can use the codes to quickly identify problematic products, while regulatory authorities can more efficiently standardize the market, promoting the healthy and orderly development of the lithium-ion battery industry.
According to data from Tianyancha Professional Edition, as of now, there are over 29,000 lithium battery-related enterprises in China in operational or active status. In terms of regional distribution, Guangdong Province, Jiangsu Province, and Hunan Province rank among the top in the number of lithium battery-related enterprises. The combined total from these three provinces exceeds 16,800, accounting for 57.5% of the total number of enterprises.
