1. Power off
Before disassembling a lithium-ion battery charger, make sure that the charger is completely powered off to avoid the risk of electric shock. This is the most important safety step during disassembly.
2. Check the fixings
First check if there are screws or other fixings on the charger housing. If so, remove them using a suitable screwdriver (such as a Phillips screwdriver or a flat-blade screwdriver).
If there are no screws on the housing, you need to find the seams of the housing, usually at the edges or corners.
3. Pry open the housing
Use a tool such as a plastic pry bar or a plastic unlocking piece, gently insert it into the seams of the housing, and slowly pry up the housing. Be careful to use moderate force to avoid damaging the internal components.
When the housing is loose, gently pull it open by hand and check if there are other fixings that need to be removed.
4. Carefully disassemble the internal components
During the disassembly process, pay special attention to the internal circuit boards, capacitors, inductors and other components to avoid damage or short circuits.
If further disassembly of internal parts is required, it is recommended to record the location and connection method of each part so that it can be installed correctly during reassembly.
5. Precautions
Be careful and cautious when disassembling to ensure your own safety. If you are unsure about the operation, it is recommended to seek help from a professional.
Non-professionals may find it difficult to accurately determine the cause of the fault or make effective repairs, so it is recommended to seek professional help when necessary.
